There is one beach in Juneau, called Sandy beach, of course. On Sunday the sun was out and it was a beautiful, clear day, and we decided that we should go check out this beach. We packed up the dog and the baby and head to the beach. R was so excited to get out of the house and go for an adventure she couldn’t sit still. Once we pulled up there were dogs and people enjoying the warm weather everywhere. We got BB all set up in her wrap and we got R ready to go and we set off. It was odd being at a beach with snow capped mountains in the near distance. At first we walked through a wooded part and just enjoyed the trail then R decided it was time to play on the beach she lead us through a small trail right to the water. She was loving the beach, rolling around and running around. BB also was having a grand time. She has been very interested in watching R and thinks she is rather funny. She also thinks her daddy is quite a goof. She was squealing and laughing the whole time.

At one point I dipped my hand into the water just to see how cold it really is. Its cold, take my word for it. We joked that R was too chicken to get in the water and were counting on that perdiction for the most part. We walked all the way to the end just enjoying our time together. D and I talking and making plans for fun hikes in the future and talking about starting traditions of our own, such as Sunday afternoon walks or family walks after dinner. On our way back R decided that she was going to be brave and jumped into the water. Both D and I were shocked she decided to do this but let her play a little while. She laid all the way in and then almost as if all the sudden she realized just how cold it was jumped out and was ready to go. BB of course thought this was just the funniest thing ever.

We joked with eachother that D’s sisters who was visiting her fiance in California’s beach didn’t compare to ours, especially with these views.
