What we are thankful for

Today and this week has provided many opportunities to be thankful.

  • I am thankful for our family, we both have great families and the fact that they have supported us through this whole move even though it is tough for them is incredible.
  • I am thankful for modern technology, the oportunity to blog and share our adventures with all of you at the same time is awesome, also how easy it is to communicate now a days has made this move a lot easier.
  • The opportunity to Skype with BB’s Aunt and Uncle, she was so excited to see them even having just woken up from her pre skype nap she was all smiles and kicking her legs like crazy. It is always fun to see her when she see’s people after a while and you can tell she just lights up. Her and her Uncle J have a pretty strong connection, I can tell they are going to be buds when she grows up and cause all sorts of trouble, if her Aunt lets them of course. I forsee many fights in the future of who gets to play with BB.
  • Skype in general, it is so nice to let BB see her Grandma and grandpa, Nana and Tata, and aunt and uncles.
  • D, and everything he does for this family. I know there are days when he would much rather be home playing with BB and I, or even just soaking up the sun, but he works really hard for us and I am so thankful for him.
  • How much D loves BB. This you’d think would be a given but I just really appreciate that even after a long day at work he takes the time to play with BB and show her his love.
  • A forgiving husband, especially when I burn the pizza after talking about how good it is going to be
  • The amazing oportunity to stay at home with BB.
  • Homemade baby food.
  • Clorox wipes, having a 6 month old who is learning to eat solids, enough said
  • A gym membership, D really pushes me to be in shape and the gym here is really really nice, its also the only time I get to watch cooking shows… that is motivation enough for me. Also I am hoping that its going to pay off because I am willing to walk/run/bike that 30 mins longer to watch an extra cooking show. You can tell my priorities are in the right spot.
  • BB finally getting comfortable at the gym daycare.
  • Mommy and me class, BB really enjoys being out and about
  • A healthy happy family
  • Blackout curtains, with the days getting longer (4 a.m. – 9:15 p.m.) these have really helped us get a good nights sleep especially D and BB (I can sleep anywhere anytime)
