45 weeks

Growing like a weed … that is the best way to describe BB lately. She is going going going, and so very close to walking. To say she is keeping us on our toes would be an understatement. Her little personality is coming out even stronger now and she will have conversations of sorts with us and it is really fun to try and decide what we think she is trying to tell us. I have to say that D and my sas helps with the fun and might be influencing her a little bit.

Something that has been a lot of fun is exploring all the new foods and seeing what she does and doesn’t like. Also the skills she has at gumming her food. That’s right, no teeth yet, but that doesn’t stop her. She eats toast, eggs, pasta, peach slices, banana’s, chicken, beans, anything we give her basically.IMG_1496 IMG_1499  IMG_1518 IMG_1533 IMG_1509IMG_1604 IMG_1619 IMG_1618 IMG_1645

Also lately in the mornings after we get her a fresh diaper and some clothes for the day (some days the clothes don’t happen and other days it’s just a matter of putting her into different PJ’s), we will stand her up and let her play with her bird Mobile. She really loves seeing that and playing with it first thing in the morning. She also has really started to enjoy learning about what sounds animals make. She likes Dogs, cats, monkeys, bears, and birds, among I am sure many others. I have to say on our part as parents it is really hard thinking of what sounds all these animals make … especially since we have books that have some odd animals in them (what sound does a Salmon or a Moose make?). I can’t help but think of the song what does the fox say when I am scrambling to think of animal sounds.

Anyways …. This week BB likes:

  • Learning new things
  • Talking to me and her dad
  • Walking … EVERYWHERE! (with assistance)
  • R, she thinks that R is the funniest thing ever especially when she licks her
  • Trying new foods
  • Eating, we can’t stop this monster she eats a lot, I don’t know where she puts it all
  • Laughing and playing
  • Rattles and things that make noise when she shakes them
  • Drinking water
  • Spitting her water out
  • Practicing standing on her own
  • Going for walks especially when we let her walk some
  • Water, this kid is really fascinated by water, on our hikes if she hears water she is always looking for it

She is not a fan of:

  • Daycare at the gym … we are working on it
  • Sleep is iffy, there is just so much to do
  • Diaper changes are hit or miss most of the time she is trying to make a mad naked escape

Stats:

  • Still no teeth
  • Crawling like a pro
  • Walking with assistance
  • Eats everything we give her and most everything that she probably shouldn’t
  • Fruits are making their way in but veggies are still preferred
  • Loves all her toys especially rattles and toys that play music or make noise

Sorry for the photo blast it’s way past my bed time and I didn’t want to fight to computer to make them throughout the post! 🙂
