October 14th BB turned one year old!

   First birthday stats:

19 lbs 3 oz

29 inches long

2 teeth 

She knows 3 signs and 4 words

  Leading up to her birthday D and I had many conversations about what exactly a 1st birthday should entail. There was talk about a party and inviting some of her (and my) friends. There was also discussion about just doing something really simple especially since she wont remember it. While we didn’t throw her a huge party we did do a couple things to make her day special. Also she loved everyone telling her happy birthday! To start her birthday out we blew up balloons and “filled” her crib up with them. We woke her up and it took her a while to realize what was going on but once she did she was really excited! The day went on like normal, nothing too special or out of the ordinary. We took her out for birthday dinner where she got Halibut and Salmon! She loved it!! I think it was the perfect balance for her birthday.

  The following day her Nana and Tata were coming to Juneau and so the party continued through the weekend with an extra special gift!

   

 BB is such a special girl and she is going to be an incredible little lady! She is cuter than a baby hedgehog and as much fun as Disneyland (with no lines). She is so curious and has such a spunky personality. I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for us!
