D and I decided that family photos would be a good investment and is something we would like to do. He was basically telling me he loved me with that statement! If you couldn’t tell I LOVE pictures especially ones that actually turn out really well! Unfortunately our favorite photographer who has literally taken all of our photos (engagements, wedding, maternity, and newborn) lives in AZ and incase you forgot we live in Alaska! We started to look into photographers in our neck of the woods and found quickly that not only are there very few, they cost quite a bit of money. Luckily I found one that had taken some family photos for a friend of mine that turned out really good. We set up the shoot and my mind started to race. What should we wear? Where should we do them? D gently reminded me to cool it and let her do her job!

It was a different experience than we are used to and it was different with BB and all the challenges that come with a toddler and photos. Luckily she is amazing and didn’t give us too much trouble despite feeling a little under the weather and it being about nap time. I think they turned out really well and had to eat a bit of humble pie after seeing the final results because as D would say, I was being a hater.
