March 10th we packed up our final things and set out on the greatest adventure of our lives, especially BB’s life.
You can read all about our adventures here; Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, and Day 7.
The hardest part of this adventure has been being so far away from family. We have had a few big things happen this year in our families and we haven’t been able to be there to offer support, receive support, or just be together. Our families mean a lot to us and we have enjoyed them coming to see us and being able to go see them.
Something that has come out of this adventure is a strength in D and I’s relationship that I don’t know think would have developed as fast had we stayed. Additionally, I have been able to stay at home with BB and even though I have added a few kiddos to our pair (babysitting) the time I get to spend with her is irreplaceable. There are so many good things that have come from this move and even though most days we still miss our families, I honestly don’t think that will ever change especially with BB being around, we have really grown into ourselves and learned to really rely on each other.
Some times it’s the hardest, most uncomfortable, things that have the greatest rewards.
Something I don’t think we say enough is thank you, to our families and friends that supported, and still support us on this journey. We have been so blessed with such a strong and loving support system, even long distance as it may be. We couldn’t have done it with out the continuous support and encouragement. Also to our families that are willing to have us crash their lives when we come visit and spend hours skyping especially the impromptu sessions that happen when BB insists that she gets to talk to her grandparents or aunts and uncles!
We are excited for the next adventure but (I) hope that we can stay with this one for a while longer!
