BB is 17 months already!! That is one month away from being “almost 2” as D puts it. She is such a great kid. Honestly, we got so lucky she is ours to keep. Yes, we have our tough days but overall she is just a bundle of joy!
She loves to help me out with everything. Cooking dinner, throwing things away, cleaning up, putting away laundry, helping me with the little kiddos, and anything else she can. She is so thoughtful as well. She loves to share and is always so concerned about D and I eating when she eats. She shares her food with everyone and everything. Her water bottle, pacifiers, D and I, toys, R, we are all offered a bite of her dinner every time she gets a bite.
She also has a huge imagination! Or at least I think so. She is constantly taking care of her pacifiers and toys and as mentioned above she eats with them too.
She has gotten really good at communicating with us and while I’ve experienced and heard of little kids using no as their answer for everything BB prefers yes. We can ask her a question and she will think about it and shake her head and say yes most of the time. She does on occasion say no but usually we ask things like, “do you want to go to the park?”.

She loves to play at the park. She loves swinging and going down the slides. She is so brave, she goes down pretty much any slide and has tumbled down a few as well but keeps going. She says “weeeeee!” when she goes down and usually as she swings. She has really been enjoying the big kid swings.
Lately when she wakes up at night (yes, she still wakes up at night anywhere from 2-8 times, and that is okay with me) she will cuddle into my chest and arms and let her whole body weight rest on me while we go to sit in her glider. I love this.
She loves to talk and will tell you all about everything, but sometimes she doesn’t have much to say. Lately she has been all about saying “buh bye!!” I will try to get that on video for you, it’s insanely cute! She is also a lot more giggly lately. I will talk to her while we drive and occasionally she just laughs at me. She also has the fake, forced laugh down.
We made Banana Swirl as a treat recently and it is her favorite thing next to blueberries (or any berries) and avocado. It’s essentially blended up frozen banana’s until they are ice cream consistency. We add in a little almond milk and peanut butter for spunk.
Words will do it no justice explaining just how much we love our sweet girl. The days when I don’t think I can love her any more I see a photo of her when she was smaller and my heart turns to mush all over again and simultaneously grows a few sizes bigger. It is funny to me thinking that photos of her a year ago or so are making me love her more now because I am sure when the photo was taken I thought that it was impossible to love her anymore than I do now.
