Some times I get these great flashes of inspiration. I see something or find that BB finds a cool little place and I make a note to come back. This time was no different. We went to the library to spend some time with a friend one day and this picture happened…

This couch was incredible, the light… I dream about the light. Huge windows letting the beautiful sunlight in (this particular day). The colors, everything about this little place made my head race with ideas for pictures. I made a mental note and waited until I had a chance with just BB to go and check it out.

The opportunity came when a few library books I had placed on hold had come in. On a side note the public library system here is awesome, they have tons of partner libraries and while our library has limited books you can place them on hold and with in a week or two they are here in Juneau from all over Alaska! Also I have found they have almost every book I have looked into. Granted, I haven’t used the public library since I was a teen, it’s like the coolest thing to me!

Anyways…. BB and I packed up and headed there. We went into the kids section and I let her loose trying to sort of steer her to the couch. Nope, not having it!! She wanted to go through all the books. So I tried to make lemons out of lemonade… yep I said that right. I tried and tried to change this beautiful situation I had to spend time with BB into something that just wasn’t going to happen that day. Fortunately I have learned to sort of recognize these situation and have been trying to step back and enjoy the lemonade I have. Apart from getting my books, reading books with the cutest girl ever, and playing with puzzles and just getting out of the house I was able to capture a few fun photos.
