20 months

Guess what… I totally skipped months 18 and 19… Sorry! Also, while usually I would just go back and write up a post and just post it late I honestly can’t for the life of me remember that far back. Therefore, we are just jumping ahead and going for 20 months. I am working at being more consistent and better about this blogging stuff I promise. Also, just for memory’s sake, D and I totally forgot/spaced that BB was 20 months today! (Notice how her update had no mention of it?) It wasn’t until we were FaceTiming her Nana and Big Tata that we realized it!

**Sidenote** it’s funny to me how in the beginning every month was a huge deal. Now that she’s over a year we forget more often than not and remember last minute! Clearly our priorities have grown and time is in short supply!

Anyways… to the good stuff, BB!

Recently her vocabulary has sort of exploded. While she is still not as full of words and D and I would like she is starting to repeat words I say and copy other people. My favorite new words she’s learned are “Love you”. The doctor always asks how many words she says and I couldn’t say… a lot.

She is all about trains and buses and machinery. She is also very interested in animals. She likes to create animal trains by saying the sound of the animal and then choo choo. It’s pretty adorable.

She is getting very daring and really enjoys climbing on everything and just recently started jumping off the couch.

She eats… when she wants. She is still a good eater variety wise but definitely only eats tiny portions. Oh, to have her self control.

BB loves to cuddle her monkey and bear. She also got a new addition of a llama and rediscovered her giant frog.

She is so helpful and has started to really understand if we ask her to help clean up. She also really enjoys helping me cook. She is very organizationally motivated and will organize anything she can.

She runs and hops everywhere and is constantly going. Most night we are surprised when she finally falls asleep!

BB has been very into wearing a cape the last couple days. She asks for it as soon as she wakes up.

She also loves helping me take care of the smaller kids. As soon as we drop one of the boys I watch off, she starts asking for them again. She also really enjoys bossing them around and wants them to do or play with what she is doing all the time.

Additonally, she has gotten really good at communicating with us. She asks for things by name and is good at letting us know when she needs or wants something. She is starting to repeat what we say and just today was saying “ouch!”

BB is the light of our lives. More often than not we find ourselves saying that she is just so adorable and we question how we got so incredibly lucky. She has such a neat personality and I love watching her grow up. D is smitten by her, as is pretty much everyone. I wont deny that we have our days where we clash or struggle to work together but I love her through every single one of those days and cherish the days where we are two peas in a pod.
