This week has been mixed with down time and crazy. After having a lot of time with just me and BB we are starting to nanny again and it has added a little extra excitement to our lives. BB is growing like a weed and she is starting to really become a chatter box! I remember when I was just a kid myself watching kids say the darndest things on TV and I now know the extent of how silly kids can be, and BB isn’t even saying full sentences.
When I sent D this picture he said she looks guilty… he was right she stole my smoothie and got caught in the act. How can you be mad at that face though!
When BB and D go to dad’s group occasionally they color with markers. Additionally, I have let BB color with a pen a couple times before and now she is hooked. Anything that has the ability to color on her as well as the paper is exponentially better than a crayon.
Here is a sample of a coloring session we had on Sunday. She has some silly picture requests!
D and BB watched the NBA Finals together… D was obviously much more into the game.
While they watched the game I worked out. BB was so interested in what I was doing. She did pushups and some core work with me, it’s a little discouraging when your toddler is stronger than you!
BB LOVES to help. She saw me sweeping and was all about helping me out. She swept the tile and the carpet for me!
D snapped this picture of Super BB helping me make dinner. She has her post at the stove and at the sinks and helps me cook every meal (3x a day) and wash the dishes (which usually ends up in a puddle on the floor and both of us soaking wet!)
I snapped this picture quickly on our walk on Father’s day. BB was wearing such bright colorful clothes and she looked like a little woman in her dress with her jacket over.
Most days I don’t understand what BB is doing… she has been very interested in putting things especially the small balls that came with one of her toys down her shirt. She carries them around all day like that.
BB can now do a perfect somersault! She surprised me one day and just flipped over! She loves doing “flips” as we call them!
Thursday morning I had an eye doctors appointment and D took BB to the park and they got some breakfast. I was surprised with selfies sent to me when I got done and my heart was full just knowing how much D enjoyed the extra time. Also how can you not fall in love with those two!! We also learned that BB holds a grudge from her outing with her dad! He was telling me that she jumped off the swing and didn’t have a very graceful landing and was pretty upset. He calmed her down and she wasn’t hurt at all but even still to this day she talks to me about how she fell off the swing when dad took her to the park. She repeats “weee, ouch, dada, uh oh!” or any combination of those. D feels awful and I think it’s hilarious. BB is just fine a little bump but she is already healed and she has gone on the swings multiple times since. For whatever reason though, she wont let D forget it!
A friend and I hiked up one of the many mountains that surround us after BB’s daddy date. This hike goes up to a tram that most people take and you can continue to hike to the summit from there. We stopped at the tram and hiked back down but it was a beautiful day and even BB was playing tourist taking in the sights! I am so proud of how well BB did being stuck in the carrier for so long. She hardly fought it, which is out of character.
As a treat for BB who did so good we went and she swam with her friend for a couple hours that afternoon. Did I mention how beautiful that day was? It was about 7 degrees warmer here than Flagstaff!!
Again not understanding what BB is doing she has been biting and holding her stuffed animals in her mouth.
Another coloring session.
BB and D rolling down hills at a Father’s Day BBQ
She sure can rock a tutu!
Selfies with this girl make me happy I love photos of the two of us and feel like I have close to none, I need to work on that!
