Adventures of BB

This week has been great! We’ve been extra busy but have had a lot of fun and the best part? BB’s Nana and Tata are visiting!

We took BB’s Nana to the beach where we found some left over chalk and got to color a little.

We went to the beach on July 3rd for the festivities before the fireworks at Midnight. While we tried and made it to midnight we didn’t make it to the fireworks. We did learn that BB LOVES fireworks though and has been asking for them constantly since. Fortunately, in Juneau people set them off for weeks before and days after so not only did we get our own personal show right outside our door we have had encore’s every day so far.

This is a glimpse into our bedtime routine. I get BB nice and calm and ready for bed and then D takes her to bed. Usually that nice and calm baby gets fired right back up and this is often how it looks as D takes her to bed. Arched back giggling!

BB’s Nana and Tata got her new PJ’s, D found these Daniel Tiger ones and let me just tell you BB cried, CRIED when we had to change out of them in the morning and she then carried them around all morning!

I was having a particularly hard time toward the end of the week and was just feeling really off. I was not myself and I needed to snap out of it, so… BB and I went on a date! We got Froyo, and went dancing. Let me tell you, that is our new tradition! By the time Friday rolls around I am usually feeling burnt out and frustrated and this date with BB turned everything around! I was refreshed, I felt so grateful and happy, and me and BB were back in sync!
