Adventures of BB 10.18.16

She’s two! I still can’t believe it.

We went to the doctor for her 2 year check up and she was the cutest thing ever. She was so excited playing with D and she found some toy animals in their bucket of toys and she had so much fun. She was telling us what they were and what sound they made and then making them walk and hop all over the office. She has really enjoyed playing with animals lately and it’s quite possibly the cutest thing ever!

Her stats:

34 inches

23 lbs 6 oz

Cute as ever! Because it is fun for me to track her growth in comparison to the last check ups this is what happened in a year… She grew 5 inches and gained 4 pounds!

Before we went to the doctors we ran to the store to grab a couple things for dinner. There were pumpkins in boxes outside and BB was so excited about them! So naturally we had to sit in the box and take photos!

I am not sure if I have said this enough, we live in a stunning place. On dark gloomy days our surroundings do something so interesting to me and I am always trying to capture it. This photo does a pretty good job, it’s also a phone photo and that is how close we were to that eagle, really. Anyways, when its dark and gloomy everything looks like it’s black and white, even when it’s not. The below photo is in full color, weird right?

BB’s Tata got her this hat for her birthday and she was being such a ham modeling it for me. The photos before and after this one she has her head angled and posed. I think all this photo taking has created a monster!

We have a lot of fun some days playing with the filters on snapchat. This one was especially cute!

In the mornings BB and I get some alone time, this morning we played in her room for 2 hours! She would climb into her bed, throw all the balloons out, ask to get down (thankfully she doesn’t climb out yet!), throw all the balloons back in, and then climb back in. She was loving kicking her legs and the balloons flying everywhere!

BB LOVES this vest, I on the other hand haven’t mastered the concept of vests and so we struggle to wear it as often as she would like, however, she loves the hood which is the first time that has happened and she always goes around growling when she wears it!

Again playing in her bed with balloons, I am seriously considering keeping a supply of balloons always on hand because it provides hours of entertainment!

BB had so much fun with her Nana, one night we watched a movie together and they got some good quality snuggle time in.

Our first snow was a really good storm and BB didn’t know what to do with herself! She looked out the window and with so much glee and delight shouted snow!!! She couldn’t wait to go outside and play in it! She also ate it by the spoonful!

Of course we had to teach her how to catch the snowflakes!

I busted out paints one day to work on a project and gave BB a brush and some water and let her “paint” along side me. This started a new love for painting and she just so happened to get paints for her birthday! Nana has so much patience and is so good with BB while she figured out painting with real colors!

BB did really well opening gifts from her friends and I was surprised how much she genuinely enjoyed all of them. I am also surprised that she was able to understand waiting to play with certain toys until morning and she was so sweet and sent thank you videos to everyone who came to her party!

Because the best seat in the house is obviously on moms back. She was so funny climbing on my back and sitting there watching our movie. I made the comment to rub it while she was at it and she actually did rub my back. She is the best!

Cuddling Nana. You see those fancy new shoes? BB’s Nana got them for her and they light up! BB was so cute when she learned of their cool trick. She would run around and look at her feet and say light up!! Lights!!!

BB’s Nana and Tata got her this dress and thought it would be a cute Christmas dress, or special occasion. BB fell in love instantly and asked to wear it as soon as she saw it! She immediately started spinning and twirling around. The next day she asked to wear it again and so we let her for a short while and then put her in play clothes. When she asked to wear it for the 3rd time the following day we gave in and let her wear it all day. She is so cute spinning and twirling around in it! She calls it her spinning, twirling dress. I am not so girly and kept laughing because she is showing signs that she is a shopper and enjoys spinning and twirling in dresses. It’s not a bad thing and I love that she is so unique but I am way out of my league in that area! The part that made me okay with all the girly is that she was still running around and climbing on things even in her fancy dress! That’s my girl!

Last year D and I took BB out for a special dinner for her birthday and the tradition lives on. We went to the same place and had the same thing, we don’t have many choices so it was pure coincidence! I kept thinking how funny it was that BB, a 2 year old had the most expensive meal of the night. Salmon and Halibut with rice and veggies. She was so excited to “eat Nemo”!

A birthday train for BB’s birthday! She insisted on taking it everywhere!

BB has gotten a whole new wardrobe between our families and she is so stylish, Thankfully they all have good taste so she doesn’t go looking around like I dressed her! They all help me out with matching too! Thank you everyone for helping BB look so dang cute all the time!
