Adventures of BB 2/7/17

Waking this kiddo up is hard work! Every morning we struggle to get her up. She always finds a way to try and go back to sleep! This is a very rare occasion for us. BB was having a hard time or just needed some extra cuddles and she let me put her in the carrier and do what I needed to do. I wasn’t sure I would ever get to wear her again, since she is miss independent, but I was so grateful for what might have been my last chance to wear her! While this photo may not be perfect it is perfect to me, it captures the end of a stage of our lives. And another stage in our lives, the need for a bandaid for EVERYTHING! BB has yet to actually need a bandaid but we go through a lot! Also, notice the chipped nail polish? BB has discovered painting her nails and loves it!BB is so independent and loves to help! This morning she was helping me make her lunch for school. I am trying to say yes more often, letting go of needing to do it right, better, or faster. I love BB’s independence even if it means we are late to work!BB loves to help in the kitchen, she even has her own play kitchen that she will cook along side me with. We got matching aprons for Christmas and it has been so much fun wearing them to cook! BB loves the pockets!BB loves to involve D in everything we do. She will constantly ask him you want that dad, or ask him questions about what she is doing. I love how much they love each other. Because you can never have too many photos with you in them!Babies (or toddlers) in aprons are just so dang cute!I have been more aware of my presence in photos lately and I hope to get a chance to take more with me in them! This might have already appeared , but I adore this photo. It was a time that BB and I made time for just us and D let us have our time. The light was beautiful and we decided to take some photos to document our little freezing breakfast date!Reading books is one of BB’s favorite things to do! D is one great story teller and book reader. I don’t ever want this to get old!BB is such a writer! She loves to trace letters and write notes! She can draw and write for hours and be totally content!BB is so stylin’! She cracks us up sometimes! As a little mommy/BB date we went ice skating! BB loves to ice skate, even though she hasn’t totally figured it out yet!Should we be worried how much this kid likes taking selfies?BB had crazy hair this day! It was so funny!Telling D how to drive!D and I went on what I would consider my dream date this weekend. It felt so weird to send BB to a friends house especially with all the change we’ve been working through but she had a blast and we went to a Gala and took photos for the event together. If you would have told me this would be a date that I lost sleep over a couple years ago I might believe you but I wouldn’t understand just how much I would love it! We had so much fun dressing fancy and doing what we love! Editing was equally fun with my love by my side!

Finding something that D and I love together has been such a game changer in our marriage.

BB has started to want to dress herself. She also really likes my cupcake hat! I like her style! This is the best! BB loves her dad so much and I love these tickle fights because then I get to take photos like this!I sure love this kiddo, this was just us playing one afternoon! When you ask your toddler to give you a silly face…Proof that BB doesn’t take herself too seriously! This photo is perfect proof of BB’s sass! She is in the middle of telling us “Stop telling me that” but the look and the hand motion is just too great!Even more proof that 2 year olds and tiny coffee cups are adorable!BB loves to get “coffee” with us when we get a treat on the weekends. I think it is the most adorable thing ever seeing her with her tiny coffee cup!

BB was guarding this box when it came in the mail… too bad it was for me and not her!!
