Pregnancy Update 37 Weeks

Baby’s size:

Romaine lettuce

I am feeling:

Good, still nesting, and a little stressed by all the things to get done but other than that ready to rock and roll!

Cravings:

No really cravings but an extra fondness for Bubbly water, hot coco (I never actually got any), vegetables!

Food aversions:

Sweets (why I didn’t get the hot coco). D, BB, and I all went out for ice cream and I tried a sample and that was more than enough for me. I chose not to have any and surprised myself even because ice cream is awesome!!

3 pros of the last week:

  • We officially made it far enough to have the Birth we’ve planned! Wohoo! Come on baby girl anytime now!
  • Having so much fun with Lexy and anticipating seeing our photos!
  • Christmas parties!!

3 cons of the past week:

  • Getting worn out easily
  • D caught a cold
  • Being super busy still!

Belly button in or out?

Flat, almost gone lol

Labor signs?

Some random contractions here and there. A few spreads of a couple of hours of contractions but nothing really serious! Just enough to tease me!

What do I miss?

Moving and playing on the floor with BB, being able to do all the things I need to with out taking breaks!

Symptoms:

Pregnancy? Sore back and hips, heartburn, swelling, you know the usual!

Difference between this kiddo and BB:

It is crazy the difference between kiddos when it comes to preparations. There is a lot more to take into account now but also being in Juneau with limited resources has been really different. Anything out of the normal and you are shipped out and the waiting until 37 weeks to be able to deliver where we want! Also just knowing more has made this different. We also have to account for BB and what’s going to happen if I go into labor before D’s parents are here to visit. We’ve made back up plans for our back up plans and it’s been interesting playing through all those plans in my head! Also knowing and being more aware of what my body is doing has been interesting. I know right where she is all the time and have been able to identify Braxton hicks and know what makes things settle or heat up. On the flip side we know that babies don’t need a ton so we are much less prepared on that front. I have all her clothes in drawers and put away blankets folded. The crib is set up and the changing pad has been wiped down and covered. We officially have one package of diapers and a bunch of clean cloth diapers. With BB we went into it with enough diapers to last us over a year! The clothes were not sorted or put away, ever lol! Additionally, the extra planning for if things happen when we don’t have family in town has been more extensive than what we would have done with BB. We don’t have a bag packed, haven’t even thought about that… I have a warm outfit and blanket at work, a phone charger and snacks where we would ultimately deliver (plan A/B). We are sort of winging it! 😂😊
