BB has been working on crawling for some time now, she went through a phase of just sort of reaching and rolling to get places, next she would crawl backwards (that was really frustrating for her), and now she is pushing up on her knees and she will rock then sort of lunge herself forward. She is so close and already sort of mobile. She is very interested in checking out R and her bed and she likes to crawl up on things. She is so determined, she has been trying for a while now and I know she can tell she is close. She is so proud of herself. This pride is the cutest thing in the world. She will crawl to something and when we cheer her on she will look up or back at us and just grin. Her little smiles are so contagious. How can people not be so joyful when they have a little one around. I am not ready for this stage but within weeks she will be totally mobile. I have already started to look into baby proofing and some make shift gates to sort of corral her. She is such a determined baby and I really can’t stand how grown up she is getting.
Also she cracks me up when she is trying there are times when she tries to pop up on her knees but she ends up in a plank and it just cracks me up. I seriously watch her most days and just watch her figure things out and go explore.
Check out where she is at for crawling. *
This is here in the early stages…
And now about after about a month of practice….
She is so close to the hands and knees and every now and again she will go just a couple steps crawling like normal but then flops back on her belly because she knows for now it’s faster.
They aren’t kidding when they say it happens overnight. She decided all in one day to pull up on her hands and knees, start waving, and clapping. Does it ever slow down?
