It’s official, she’s mobile, and oh how life has changed. I feel like life has sped up 3 times what it was already going and I was barely keeping up as is.

BB is going from crawling to sitting, from sitting and crawling to pulling up and standing, from standing to cruising around on our furniture. Additionally she decided that she wants to try crawling the right way. We were ready to accept that she was going to skip crawling and just walk and BAM she was crawling around hands and knees.

This week BB likes …

• Crawling
• Pulling up on furniture and throwing everything from said piece of furniture on the ground
• High Fives
• Blowing kisses
• Emptying cabinets
• Climbing on mom and Dad
• Emptying any and everything she can get her hands on
• Jumping on the bed
• Watching Sesame Street, especially Elmo
• Playing with her friends
• Dancing
• Eating, especially when she gets to feed herself
• Trying to walk
• Visiting with her Nana and Tata
• Swimming
• Playing at the park
• Other kids
• Sippy cups and Water Bottles
• Veggie Straws
• Music
• Finding new places to explore
• Playing in the rain
• Her dad’s silliness (at the moment he is telling me about all the times him and BB have enjoyed Kampuchea while I was showering [and BB was sleeping]. If you know D you probably know that he doesn’t drink Kampuchea and we don’t have any in the house. He’s a story-teller.)
• Pointing
• Her bird mobile above her diaper changer
• Turning the lights on and off from the diaper changer (thanks for showing her that one D! I do actually love how curious and bright she is.)
• Holding on to her feet and chewing on her toes
• Water in all shapes, sizes, and forms she doesn’t discriminate
• Reading books. She has started to go over to her book shelf and pull all the books off but then sit and read the books. Also we have a stack of books in the living room from bed time stories and she is always knocking them on the floor and reading them (eating them too)

BB is not so fond of …

• Sleeping (going through a bit of a phase with sleep … again)
• Getting teeth, she refuses
• Being held back in any way (diaper changes especially)
• Being stuck and not free to get out (she doesn’t like being stuck in her car seat for too long)
• D or I leaving, she was getting better when we would leave her with her grandparents

BB is such a light in our life. We really love her!

You know the saying Actions Speak louder than words? The other day BB tried with all her might to climb into the tub… any guesses to what she was trying to tell me?

P.S. If you’ve seen Inside Out I feel like the father daughter relationship is very similar to BB and D. Also we are confident that Goofy Island is fully developed.
